The American

Uncategorized

This morning we visited the other American’s house that spotted us in while walking the other day.  We stopped by for a short visit, but ended up having lunch and spending a couple hours there, typical of an Indian drop-in.

He is married to an Indian and they have two boys, he’s been here for nearly 20 years.  It was a good time, and a good conversation.  It’s amazing how just being able to have an easy conversation with someone after a week of not is refreshing.

We were cautious of our speech as to why exactly we were there, and why we lived in Turkey.  If anyone could understand our true intent, and cause issues for the ministry, it would be an American who has converted to Hinduism and may be hostile Christian work.  We realized quickly that they were not Christians by their speech.  Diane said she saw some idols displayed.

He did say that in the 2 years that they’ve been in Ludhiana, he doesn’t know of any other Americans living here.

Saturday we’re visiting the golf course he manages, then will visit Sonika and Jaskamal’s family once more before we leave on Sunday.
